Preparing your items well is one of the most important things you can do!
Please check your items for recall by visiting the Consumer Protection Safety Commission's website.

The better they look, the better they sell!
- Wash, iron, clip loose threads, and replace missing or loose buttons.
- Check zippers and snaps to make sure they are in working order.
- Hang clothing on appropriately sized hangers with the hook pointing to the left when you are facing it. Make a question mark (?) with the hanger as you face the front of the item. (Wire hangers are preferred but not required.)
- All tags should be placed in the upper right corner.
- Use regular size safety pins to attach items to the hanger.
(Tiny gold safety pins will not hold.)

Shirts: Safety Pin at shoulders, if necessary.
Pants/Shorts/Skirts: Safety pin to the top portion of hanger, at the waistband.
Two-piece outfits: Place shirt on the hanger. Safety pin pants/skirt/shorts at the waistband to the shoulders of the shirt with garments pinned back-to-back. Make sure that both items are visible.

Use either of these two methods:
- (Preferred Method) Attach the shoes together in such a way they will not come apart. This can best be accomplished by using a small zip tie. Using a large safety pin, tying the laces together, buckling or Velcro the shoes together, tying with ribbon or yarn (knotted) also works well. Safety pin the consignment tag to the laces or ribbon.
- Place shoes in a Ziploc bag and seal with clear packing tape. Do not rely on the storage bag to keep your shoes together. Please use the Preferred Method outlined above for attaching shoes together, then seal them in the bag.

All toys need to be clean, in working order, and have all pieces. Battery operated toys must include batteries.
Package small pieces, directions, and puzzle pieces in a clear, sealed bag. Securely attach the bag to the toy or inside a compartment with clear packing tape.
Car seats cannot be older than the manufactured date. Car seats that have been involved in an accident or that have been recalled cannot be accepted.
